The previous week, I had two similar conversations with two different people.

The first conversation was with my cousin. He was describing another cousin's life and commenting on how busy and schedule packed it was. Contrast that to my current life, it could be between fire and water. Total opposites.

The second conversation was with my friend. She, too, was describing her schedule for the previous weeks and how schedule packed and busy it was. Again, contrast that to my current life, it could be between sunny and rainy weather. Total opposites.

If I was still the "old" me,
If I was still using the "old" mindset,
If I was still holding on to the "old" beliefs,

I would mind very much. Oh so very much that my life is so different from theirs and would do anything in my power to match their life with mine until it is on equal level or even surpass their level of busy-ness. I would even argue and try to make them see from my point of view. How sometimes taking a rest and not have anything scheduled the whole day is necessary. But now I will just nod and congratulate them.

Too often, society has equipped busy-ness and a jam packed schedule with living life to the fullest.
Too often, when left alone with their own thoughts, human have the tendencies to flee.
Too often, those around us have sneered when you live a quiet life.

Well, I say no more.

No more giving into other people's dogma.
No more giving away myself just to fit into society's fucked up mold.
No more giving up on my own dreams and own definition of what "success" means.

I hope you can do the same too.

I have commitment phobia.

Not just on relationships but on pretty much every aspect of my life.

I think this is the reason for my self-sabotaging behavior.

I have to overcome my commitment phobia.

I have to break through my self-sabotaging behavior.

I just have to...

It's funny to find that I have this issue since it has never cross my mind. Me? Commitment phobia? Pfft. The longest relationship I have is six years long.

But there's no denying it. It is so apparent now that I've think about it.

The question now is "What the fuck should I do?".

I have stopped believing in myself.

I have became lazy.

I have rationalized away my actions with the same old excuses.

All because I am afraid that I don't have the potential to succeed in life, even by own definition of what "being successful" is.

So I am settling.

Settling in itself is not a bad thing to in life. Settling can mean that you have done all that you've set out to do and you are contented.

But to settle because I am afraid?

I am not quite sure whether I would be proud of myself to let fear stop me from what I could have achieved.

And I am not quite sure I could ever live with this regret.

I am in this constant emotional vicious cycle of feeling euphoric of coming up with new ideas, trying new ideas, self-sabotaging the success of new ideas, wallowing in self hate and self pity, decided I would settle and lastly, after getting that biting feeling that settling is not what I want to do; the cycle begins again.

I am so sick of it.

So many people have given me encouragement, support and the much needed prodding from time to time. 90% of the people I have come across believe in me. But I've realized that all the world's population can believe in me and I will still think I am not good enough.

A friend asked me "What happened to you? Where did the confident girl I used to know went?" and I replied softly "I don't know."

I lied. I do know. That confident girl was completely destroyed by the events of last year.

I guess I am still reeling from all the shock, hurt and disappointment from last year that has left me disillusioned. Yes, I do realized that it is currently 2012, the year that the world is supposedly going to end. New year. New life. New recycled resolutions. New hope. New me and you.

It still fucking hurts.

There, I've admit it. It still fucking hurts.

I was going through my list of blogs that I follow this morning when I realized I was unfollowing a lot of blogs because of my changing interest, namely from my interest on beauty care products to crafting. My obsession of collecting beauty products began around 4 years ago and ended at the start of last year.

To borrow the overused phrase of "If you had told me (x number of years) + (do this), I would never had believed you", this phrase perfectly fits my situation right now. It's funny how things change and I used to resist this change, preferring for things to stick to the way it was. Now, I'm proud to say that I've learnt to embrace changes in my life whether they were planned, unplanned or unwelcomed.

There are always many sides to a story.

Etude House Aqua Drop Sun Guard SPF33 PA++

Cons:

If you use 1 teaspoon (the amount recommended for any sunscreen) there will be a white cast but after 5 minutes or so it will go away
Hard to blend - really need to work it in
Heavy sun screen smell
Makes your face shiny
The 3 main ingredients are either in the middle or last of the ingredient list

A sun screen that does it job and an affordable price. :) Nothing fancy about it. Doesn't really provide the moisturizing droplet sensation.

So far...

It's finally the holiday for me. But it doesn't mean that I can relax cause I still have 2 assignments that are due on the 12th April. But I'll definitely have more time to blog and I have so many wonderful (well, to me) to share. And oh, I heard from one of my cousin that another little cousin of mine from Brunei reads my blog so here's a shout out and thank you to you!~

On cosmetics and skincare...

My skin is behaving EXTREMELY well since end of January. Not a pimple in sight and it's getting clearer and brighter everyday. I'm so happy. Maybe it's the age thing, you know. Once you reach 20, your skin will regulate itself or something. But I'm pretty sure some of the products I'm using helps as well and I'll share them with you. I also have a few BB Creams up for review.

On crafts...

Well, I haven't been producing any bags lately cause what with all the uni work and my cousin visiting. But I have been improving my stamp carving skills. Not exactly a very productive month, I'll say but hopefully next month will be better.

It's good to be back.

This is the extremely bad product I was talking about. It is called Kanebo Sala Body Soap. I've only used it once and I am already boycotting it. The reason is after washing my skin becomes extremely and horribly dry. I would advise all females out there to avoid buying this product. Don't let the pretty packaging suck you in! It comes in three colors: blue, hot pink and baby pink. The blue one is suppose to be for sensitive skin.

DON'T BUY KANEBO SALA BODY SOAP unless you want really dry and peeling skin. You have been warned.

Before coming to the "New Post" page in blogger, I have a lot of things to say. A lot of things I need to get off my chest. But when I arrive on the page, my mind goes blank. 用华语也好，英文也好，都不懂得怎样表达我的心情. My parent are hosting two parties this weekend. That's about the only exciting thing happening in my life. Oh, that and my big sister and her "darling" is coming tomorrow. I hope she won't be too difficult. My mum has been waiting for my sister's "darling" to come to our town since last, last year cause he owes my mum a blueprint of her dream house. My mum really likes collecting houses and land. She told my dad that her dream is to have a bunch of keys to all her houses. So my dad has been buying houses and lands for her.

纳闷. Stupid goddamn weather cannot make up it's mind.

New Skin & New Name

I changed the old blogger template to a new one called Pin-Up Girls. Was getting sick of seeing the old blog title too so I thought to myself why not changed that too so it got a new name as well - CHAPTER 20.

Chapter 20 is just a reflection on my age. Yes, I'm turning 20 this year and I have resolved not to act like a spoiled little bitch (SLB) and more towards a kindred spirit. Although I didn't really make any concrete new year's resolution for 2010, a few did popped into my mind but I'm too lazy to write it down. Oops, just broke one resolution then.

I can't wait till 27th FEB cause my boyfriend is coming back then. Hurray! I'm really happy cause he bought a lot of things for me and I'll have my driver + servant back. See what I meant by SLB? I really should be unpacking right now...but the bed is calling out to me. Which is funny cause I just woke up from my nap. Okay bed you win...I'm coming back to you.

Improved Version of Froggies + Yellow Bow + Disgusting Blackheads

Step 1: Cute out two pieces of froggie's head. ^^
Step 2: Embroider on the eyes and smiley mouth. If you don't want to sew the eyes by hand, you can always cut out black felt and stick it on but I find embroidering it easier.

Step 3: Hot glue the string to make a loop. Remember to measure the length you want it to dangle.

Step 4: Sew on both of the cut out felts together and you're done!~ I'm so proud of myself. Made 5 froggies today. But the hot pink one is kinda flat cause I didn't stuff enough cotton in.

Imagine I have to make 50 of these kind of cell phone "charms" but in different patterns. But I'm really thankful for the order. My room is like this "high-end" version of a sweatshop >..<

I made this cute yellow bow a long time ago. Quite happy with the turn out. Previous months I was churning out these little babies non-stop but now I'm more into felt crafting.

Finally, the reason why I'm addicted to using nose pore strips.

An update of my life:

Moving back to parent's house cause no more $$ which means they're going to rent out the house they bought for me.
Starting from December, I can't buy anymore skincare/cosmetics/toiletries unless I have ran out of them. I have now 2 cupboards full of new skincare/cosmetics/toiletries. Need to start saving up for my business.
Ken is now back in China. T.T Hate him. Grr. Oh well, at least he gave me lots of money to keep me occupied.
I'm now trying to organize all my (two room full) stuff into one room. GAH! I have so many stuff that it's not funny.
I got my first order for my business!! Yay. I can't wait to show you guys what I have made.
Seriously, what's with all the unused skincare/cosmetics/toiletries lying around in my room. Goal to myself: STOP BUYING and START USING!
I want a kitten... A Teacup Persian. But Persians are really prone to medical ailments so it's gonna be really expensive to take care of one.

After reading Joanna's post (from Jbreezy's Makeup) about betrayal from a friend...I've decided to put down my feelings into words on the recent happenings in my life. I'm sorry I'm writing about the sad stuff cause this is a beauty blog after all but I just need a place to rant.

I have this err, friend. Well I considered her a friend at the start of the year and we've decided to open an online website selling make up and skincare to the consumers in our little town. Just fine right? But she had to ruin it all. When a friend of hers asked her where she is getting the stocks, she was stupid or naive enough to show her our supplier's website. Now that friend of hers opened her online shop as well! I know having competition is inevitable for business but to stupidly or naively create one yourself? I was speechless when I found out. It took me weeks to get over it. I had to redraw my business plan and everything and she still had the nerve to said she still wanted to be partners and I still have to give her 50% when I started my own business.

But I still got over the whole thing because the only thing I had to lose in the above situation is money and it's not like I'm desperate for my money. Some side income would always be a good thing. The other stuff that has been happening to me are far worse and are taking a toll of my mental wellbeing cause I can't stop thinking and finding fault with myself and everyone who was involved in the situation.

For this semester, I am the leader of 3 groups cause I am the more aggressive and outspoken one out of the whole lot. Just fine again right? Great even. Seriously, I don't mind being a leader. But MOST of my group members are so incompetent that I can't believe they are really university students. For all 3 groups we have to do a presentation on our chosen topics. So far 2 of the groups have really disappointed me and I couldn't lashed out at them cause it will be really unprofessional.

When we present on our topic, we have to fully research our topic and understand it well to answer the questions raised by our audience and we can't rely on our notes/presentation slides. We must always face our audience and not just read out our presentation. For the first group, I admit it was partly my fault cause being a leader I didn't make sure they have the ability to present (well, you know, we are SECOND and THIRD year students). The presentation was disastrous, 2 out of 4 group members read from notes and slides only WITHOUT even making eye contact with the audience and when the questions came, they were unable to answer the part they've presented about and I had to step in to answer the questions. Boy, was I pissed. But I got over it as well even though my marks weren't really what I expected.

The next presentation was yesterday, I held a meeting to rehearse our presentation. I checked all their notes and made sure they understood their parts. During the rehearsal, I noticed that the group members still relied too much on their notes (which are not cue cards mind you but big pieces of note papers) so I told them to refrain on reading the notes. Fine, just fine. But when the presentation came...they did as they were told, no reading from their notes, it was much, much worse than that! They had their back to the audience the entire time they were presenting and just read from our power point slides without even any elaboration and examples. I was like...WHAT THE FUCK?! After finishing the presentation, us as a whole group went to the lecturer for feedback and she told us that she was really disappointed in us and could see we didn't really put in any effort to prepare for our presentation. I wanted to scream right there and then.

The peer review given by one group was really low as well cause that group had a grudge against me for asking a question during their presentation. The question I asked was "What strategy would you recommend for your example company?" and they couldn't answer it. Sigh... I'm surrounded by R-tards. I know I sound all arrogant when I'm writing all these... But seriously, they don't act like university students to me.

The last group was by far the worst one. A group member kept on getting AWOL on me and the work they gave me was... not of a really high level. Can you even believe some of my group members still don't know how to reference their work? I have to act like a fucking nanny to them and kept on reminding them their work is due, the silly mistakes they have made and the meetings they have to go to. For the first half of the semester, I was this angry little creature, creating a negative and sad vibe wherever I go. My parent was so sick of my complaining and crying. I couldn't sleep at night too.

Some of you might just say "Just chill, girl. It's just some grades." But I don't want to disappoint my parents. I don't want to waste the expensive fee they're paying for my education. Although it's not my choice to attend university but I still want to do good in it. But the most important thing is, I don't want to fail because of somebody's incompetencies. Right now, I'm just trying to convince myself it's just pure bad luck meeting all my group members and I should take it with a grain of salt and move on. Even if I fail, I will just have to start the unit all over again and work harder.

I do realized that maybe 85% of the world's population would gladly change life with me as my problems are really mundane compared to starvation, wars, diseases, natural disasters (bless those in Philippines) and all the horrible things happening around the world. I just finished the whole bottle this morning so it's time for a review.

I really wanted to review this after the 2nd week of using it because I think this has HG potential.I rarely declare my products to be HG material.

Marvelous Efficcacies Check List:

1. Yup, it really does soften my skin really well. Made my skin as soft as a baby's bottom (we all know this is a really overused phrase). Coupled this with my ZA Deep Hydrating Gel, my skin was left plumped in the morning. The best part is the black heads on my nose came out with no problems now.

2. Although I wash my face thorougly and for a good 10 minutes every day and night, there are still some stubborn residue makeup or dirt left and by god, this cleans them out with a vengeance.

3. This one I really don't have a comment. When I do use it my skin is kinda more even toned and blemishes are less likely to pop out. But it does reduce my redness around the cheek area.

Other than that it can cool down the skin and it smells really nice. The color is a milky white and it's quite runny.

A wonderful and marvelous product I would say ^^. Affordable too - retails for less than RM25. When used religiously it does give you satisfactory result. I'm tempted to go buy another bottle since I've finished one up but alas, other toners are calling my name too!~

Sorry that the reviews are still not being posted frequently cause I'm still trying to work out the finer technical workings of my camera. There's still a tag by MrsDumpling that I haven't done yet. =<

The Skinfood Chlorella Nose Clear Patch

I got addicted to nose strip ever since I saw the effectiveness of toner + Biore's nose strip.

So I wanted to try some other brand's and The Skinfood it was.

Pros:

It works!~ Although they were still some blackheads left, it could be easily squeezed out with just some gentle pressure. I like it!~ I'm especially happy when I saw all the blackheads on the nose strip. Take that, blackheads!~
It doesn't hurt when I peeled it off and it came off nice and clean.
I like the shape cause it fitted my nose just right. :)

Cons:

I don't mind the smell. It's kinda like a powdery smell. But people with sensitive nose might find it overwhelming.
It costs... RM2.70 for one piece. Biore only cost RM10+ for 10 pieces and Biore worked just as well.

I don't know if it would make the skin around my nose peel cause Biore's did. But I think this is a really gentle nose strip that works really well. :) But I do know that this works way better than Ianti's. I'm still mourning the loss of my eyebrows. I wanna try these next:

Has anybody ever heard of the brand, Ianti? It's a Korean brand. Basically apart from the product's name, everything is in Korean.

This is a really shitty nose pack. :(

It's all goopy and hard to spread evenly.
The smell is unpleasant.
Doesn't do anything for my blackheads.

I tried applying it to my whole face avoiding eyes, lips and eyebrow area naturally and when I tried to peel it off...

It ripped out half of my right eyebrow so there's this hole. :( :( :( :( It'll probably take ages to grow. *sniffs*

Works well for removing fine hair but not blackheads so the verdict is...

USELESS!~ Don't buy it.

ZA Blemish Shoot Lotion Revisited

I did a review for the entire range of ZA Blemish Shoot a while ago and found this lotion mediocre.

So I wanted to quickly finish it and move on to other toners.

You know those little round compressed sheet masks? Well I put them in the bottle cap's round "well" and pour the lotion in and quickly finished the half bottle up is less than a week. :)

And I have to say it worked better as a sheet masks than just dabbing it on your face with a cotton pad.

My skin became softer and smoother.

Previously, when I was using the Biore's black nose strip, NOTHING will ever come out. :( But after using the sheet masks continuously, those pesky blackheads came out with no complain. :)

It also calmed down the redness around my cheeks.

But I will not repurchase this cause... there's always more things to try out, right? :P

It's a cell phone which is shaped like a Hello Kitty's head! Comes in light blue, light pink, black and white. But I got the white one cause it's more "original". Any other color would have been plain wrong. Does whatever any phone can do except that it doesn't have WiFi. It can listen to MP3, take photos and even watch .avi format videos which many phones cannot.

It's a HP Mini 110 in Pink Chic and I love it to bits! I've been hunting for a pink mini netbook for ages and this just came at the right time. I was going to buy Sony Vaio P like Yumeko's but when I tested it, the screen was too small and it was kinda laggy so my boyfriend told me to get this since the specs are the same but at 1/2 the price! Sony Vaio P doesn't come in pink either.

Panasonic FS 42 in Pink/Rose. My old Sony camera is still working fine but here is a slight "gray" area in the LCD screen so I'm going to give it to parent for use. (I know... I'm a bad daughter) The boyfriend kept on harassing me to buy a Canon one since he thinks Canon is better but the Canon one is a ghastly (hot) pink and Panasonic's specs are much better. It's so light that you barely feel that it's there.

This was suppose to be my on the go face mist but the bottom has a slight crack so I couldn't bring it out. But I really like this face mist cause it smells nice and has anti-inflammatory properties making my face less prone to pimples and my skin is smoother when I use this.

What I do it I spray it onto a cotton pad and pat it onto my face and voila~ your make up is instantly refreshed and dewy.

Quickly reduces breakouts and inflammation.
Its anti-inflammatory and bactericidal actions prevent acne from worsening.

This is suppose to reduce breakouts but it takes a few days and sometimes the pimple/acne mark will be left behind. But it does have a good point is that my skin has less breakout when I'm using this.

Be careful not to use too much of this cause it will sting your eyes even when it's nowhere near your eyes.

ZA Blemish Shoot Dewy Gel

This gel restores moisture and softens hardened skin, leaving a stickiness-free, dewy sensation. Encourages healthy cell turnover for vivacious, luminous skin color.

This is the only product in the range that has color - a milky one. It is suppose to be a moisturizer but my skin is still dry although it looks plump. Think this will be more suitable for oily skin people. Not hydrating enough for dehydrated skin.

With a cool sensation, this lotion replenishes your skin with an abundance of moisture and tightens pores for a silky, matte skin. Keeps pores from clogging, helping to make your skin healthy and problem-free.

Nope, no abundance of moisture or tight pores either. But it does remove residue makeup. Gives a soothing and tingling feeling also. An okay toner.

ZA Pore Smoother

A lightweight, super-smooth balm that instantly reduces the appearance of pores.
Absorbs excess oil and instantly leaves skin silky-matte.

I haven't tried this yet. But I was interested in this cause I thought it might be a dupe for Benefit's Dr. Feel Good which in my opinion, it is a total hyped up and gimmicky product.

I've only used the Blemish Shoot range for around a month and my skin is still dehydrated but not as oily as before. I think this is a mediocre anti-blmish range. If you must purchase, I recommend the Conditioning Mist and Groovy Smoovy, although I really wish that they will add a mirror onto the compact.

Hello dearies, I'm back from my vacation. So here's an update:

♥ I have lots of purchases to share. Made a gigantic haul from Etude House.

♥ Trying out a new skincare line from ZA. One of my favorite brands of skincare cause it truly works and the prices are reasonable!

♥ Holding a contest and it's not one of those random-how-lucky-are-you type contests. This one will test your knowledge on beauty products! Work for it!

♥ Posting will still be slow as this semester I have a few research(es?) going on and all of my subjects are quite hard so gotta spend more time with the books.

Meet my new baby - Sony Walkman NWZ-W202!

I am totally in love with my new baby! Look look, it even looks like a little bug alien when it's charging (bottom right picture) and it's in a heart shape! Best thing is it's pink! And and you don't need a seperate head piece because it's 2 in 1.

The boy bought this for me as a gift... for no apparent reason. Really made my day. I heart it so much! Sony Walkman NWZ-W202 is ♥!

BRAND’S® InnerShine®

Mummy dearest bought me these two items: BRAND’S^® InnerShine^® Prune Essence and BRAND'S^® InnerShine^® Berry Essence.

I'm still going to get more, one month's supply to be exact. :) But only the prune type because getting both would be expensive. There's another flavor - BRAND'S^® InnerShine^® Balance Quince Essence, it's not in supermarkets yet. I'll try the prune one for one month, then the quince one for the next.

Oh, this is what they supposedly do:

- Prune: gives you inner glow and great skin.

- Berry: gives you shiny eyes.

- Quince: gives you confidence. (No kidding)

Wow, look at me go. Another post! I did said that I would track my spending with this blog so here I am.

I was quite determined to make my RM100 last as many days as possible and was quite confident that it would at least be enough for this week. Boy, was I wrong (as always).

I was waiting for my next class at 12PM while on the phone with the boyfriend and he told me that our house was infested with maggots (again!). So I told him to come pick me up cause he was too pussy to clean up the mess. Granted, it was disgusting. We drove straight to the supermarket to pick up some essentials on annihilating the maggots such as sprays, mothballs, dettol and those mosquitoes rings thingy which cost me around RM38+ including boyfriend's drink.

Then when I got home, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. At least I didn't gagged like last time. I sprayed and sprayed and sprayed and sprayed until I was satisfied the whole floor was covered with pesticide. Then I lit the mosquitoes ring thingy to smoke out the little bastards. After that, I pounded the mothballs into fine powder and spread it around the floor.

Thinking all these will be enough, I cleaned up myself and googled "how to kill maggots". One sentence: should have googled before I've sprayed cause apparently bug sprays doesn't kill them!* Shit... I went to boil some water and poured it onto the floor with dettol. Now, the house smelled like... bug sprays, dettol and smoke. I should be dead or at least coughing my lungs out but I'm not.

*One would think that having been through this experience already, I would know how to kill maggots. The first time was in Singapore.

I being too pussy to take care of the now dead maggots, the boyfriend offered to clean up the last remaining mess seeing as how I did the killing. But I wouldn't let him do it (see, I am not mean to him - why do people always say I torture him?) so I called the cleaner which is going to cost me another RM50. Meaning I only have around... RM10 left.

*The cleaner was here till 11:30PM. I told her to come every fortnight now and I got a pretty good deal out of it.

Great Lisa, just great. The boyfriend is basically paying for all my lunch plus dinner (if not going over to parent's house) and I still owe him RM123. I found out that The Body Shop is having their annual sale... with items going up to 70% off. The Skin Food is also opening! Someone, seriously...help? Good news is that TM Net is giving out dividend today. I should really get a job huh?

First, I want to thank everyone for leaving consoling comments regarding my lost phone and to smiley13tree for posting up the Bath Cookie recipe I've requested. Will try it out once I've hunt down all the ingredients.

Now, remember about Project 10 Pan from my previous post? *scratches head* Yeah, that didn't worked out ... not as well as I would have hoped. When I wrote that post it was on Thursday? and now it's Monday and I bought more stuff. Someone please give me a slap to wake me up. Need to fatten my wallet up again. I was hoping I could get a part time job at my dad's company but the company doesn't need anyone right now. Oh well... right now I could only pray that my stock/unit trust will earn me more money.

Random note: I lost my phone right? And the last 4 digit of my phone number is 0310 and guess what? It was the top prize for the lottery ticket. Damn...

These are some of the stuff I've bought. Not pictured here are 2 Lotion Mate Massager (review will be coming right up), a cardigan, boots/shoes, shorts, clothes and other miscelleaneous items cause I can't fit them into one photo. I bought lots of lotions for my legs and am currently in a shaping craze cause I can't stand to see the fat me in the mirror.

I gotta get rid of the hoarding habit. Most of the time I'll buy two of everything cause I like to know that I have back up. This is fine if I used up the products... But I never do. Does anyone has/used to have the same habit? The only way for me to stop spending is to stop going to the mall. I did quite well a few months back cause I was lazy to go out and so no shopping. No mall = fat wallet = happy Lisa.

Watched Star Trek today. Not bad, not bad at all. I really thought I was going to hate it cause it's Sci-Fi and all. Funny thing was I got Star Trek mixed up with Star Wars. Yeah, how smart am I? I'm thinking of tracking my spending with this blog so I can actually see where my money is going. Anyone ever has this experience whereby you remember you have a lot of money and by the end of the week, it's almost all gone and you think to youself "Where the heck did all the money went?". I used to track my purchases but it got so stressful cause when disceprancies came up, I'll wonder my ass/sleep off even if it was just 10 or 50 cents.

Off to bed now. Neck is killing me. Gotta make that massage appointment soon.

Technology Hates Me

I lost my (read: the boyfriend's) phone. *mopes* It was a Nokia 6300. Worse is, I have no idea how I lost it. I remember I still had it with my in class cause Janet was asking what I was doing. The when I went home *poof* gone, just like all that. Some fucker must have took it out of my bag when I wasn't looking. Served me right for not closing my bag everytime.

R.I.P A moment of silence for my phone. God knows where it is now, The fucker who took it better loves it as much as I did. I know it's just a phone and an old model but still... Honestly, these things keep on happening to me. This is the second time I've lost a phone given to me by the boyfriend. Then there is a time when soup got into my HP PDA. Then, my first NDSL broke after like... 3 weeks. Sheesh. Is like I'm cursed or something. The boyfriend was really nice about the whole situation. I really thought he will start lecturing me again.

Moving on to a happier note now. I'm going on a holiday to Penang, JB and Kuching in July. (They're all in Malaysia) Penang to visit my friend, JB to visit the two sisters and Kuching to celebrate Grandmama's birthday. I am going with Summer. So expect holiday pics after July.

Other than that, I've been spending a little too much this month cause of Mother's Day, new shops opening and eating in too many restaurants...So after reading a few blogs, I found out about "Project 10 Pan". Basically, you have to finish 10 products before you can buy a new one. Sounds better than my "no more shopping until I finish all my products", yeah how realistic is that? Could probably take me a few years to finish them all. But I'm going to change the project to "finish 10 products then you can buy one set of cosmetics/skincare/haircare/bodycare of your choice".

I was suppose to go to the mall today with Summer but after losing my phone I lost the mood and not to mention I don't want to spend any more money after losing my phone. Still have to pay for the IPL sessions which will cost me a few grands. *sigh* But things have a habit of working itself out for me. :)

I was actually quite worried about where I am going to find the money to spend on my holiday cause it's self paid and all that. But my dad came to the rescue! No, he didn't give me any money. He just told me that my stock portfolio is doing quite well and I've earned a quite a decent amount from that. Which was enough to make me forget about the phone... for a while. After that, I started to mope again. *mopes mopes mopes*

Yeah, sorry about the lack of photos. My camera is kinda broken (see, I told you technology hates me!). Photos of the things I've bought these past few weeks and my stash will be up soon... most probably tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

PACKAGING, TEXTURE & SCENT...

Comes in pump bottle - very hygienic. One pump is enough for the whole face. The smell is really pleasant :) It reminds me of my sisters cause they both are using/used this product. I got mine from big sister. Texture wise, it's really runny and spreads very well. Color is white.

LOVING IT/LEAVING IT?

I really love this product. It smells nice and relaxing. Dries quickly to a non greasy matte finish and when you touch your skin, oh, the softness of it. Acts as a make up base. Keeps your face shine free and the face doesn't get oily so quicky. This product is especially great for hot and humid countries! I don't really have any gripes about the product. I haven't tried it out for the recommended period to see results so I can't comment on that. But so far it's going great. :)

P/S: Remember when I said I was going to update you guys on the Garnier Mask? Well I couldn't cause a few a days after trying out the mask, I went for a facial so that will kinda skewed the result. I'm sorry.

Dilemma

I have a dilemma. You see, I'm going to buy this bag:

But I can't, for the life of me, choose what color I want!

Should I get the black one:

Or should I get the pink one?

The black one is my first choice cause black is an extremely versatile color. You can wear any color clothing and it will match! But right now I'm revamping my wardrobe and I'm going through this phase where all my clothes that I have/am going to buy are either in black or white color so black bag + black clothes = can't see anything. What should I do?

It comes in two packets with 6ml in each packet which is really enough for both face and neck although I feel there isn't a need to slab it on to your neck. I really hate the plastic because it was hard to tear open and the instruction is on the top packet so it would be wise to use the bottom packet first.

TEXTURE/SCENT
It has frangrance. It smells kinda earthy but soapy. Can't really decide what it smells like. The mask is really easy to spread and not too thick but not too runny either so it's just right. It doesn't dry up so don't expect that. The color is a pretty light blue.

LOVING IT/LEAVING IT?
Pros:)

Easy to wash off.
Really does have a sauna effect. Some reviewers claim that it's mild but some feels like it's burning their faces off. But I like it.
My face is shine free. :)
Affordable.

Cons:(

My face became itchy after using the mask for a short while.
Doesn't feel like there is any deep cleansing going on.
It won't dry. I like masks that dry up.
The heating sensation doesn't really lasts 3 minutes.

Was going through the ingredients list and a few ingredients stood out:

Kaolin (it's a type of clay): Really good for oily skin and drawing out impurities.
Titanium Dioxide: The best chemical sunscreen?
Salicylic Acid: Good for pimply skin and some exfoliation. But skin will be temporary sun sensitive.

I don't really think it's going to last 7 days. But you see, Garnier isn't stupid either cause the description says "up to 7 days" so it might last 0-7 days depending on how lucky you are. Will update after a week.

* You can expect a few pimples to pop up. It's normal.

I know I haven't been blogging much. It's just that:

Procrastination is never my good friend.
As much as I hope, assignments do not finish themselves.
My room is still messy.

I'm not sure what reasons number 3 has to do with why I haven't been posting but I just feel like telling the world. So there you go, world.

But I did managed to play with my new stuff including Shills 5 in 1 EGF Spray Foundation and Osis+ Dust It and Relian Mascara. During this time, I keep on glancing at my computer to see whether my assignment is magically writing itself. Sadly, it's not. Maybe I should wear my red shoes and click them together 3 times while chanting "Oh, ye great Assignment God! Please show me your power!" or maybe I should just stop acting crazy.

Nah... acting crazy* is more fun. (*in moderation)

I know I look like I'm sad but that's just how my eyes are. All wonky and stuff. And no, I did not go for lip collagen injection. Again, it's all in the genes, baby. I really hate my hair right now cause it's straight... why yeah, of course it's straight since I straigthened it. I miss my permed hair.

I must be one of the luckiest girl in the world because I don't suffer from Monday's blues. Well, for this semester only. I don't have class on Monday and Friday so it's like having long weekend every week. Yes, do envy me. Wahahaha.

I literally squealed and gasped when I stepped foot into Watson for what laid before my eyes was the new Majolica Majorca counter! I walked toward the counter as in a trance. It wasn't before I touched one of the items that I snapped out of the trance. It felt good to be alive then.

The items weren't all up yet so I had fun digging through the boxes and ooh-ing and aah-ing. I was even the first ones to test all the testers while Ken was coming every few minutes to see if I was done. I bought three items for the total cost of RM78.

I heard so many raves about skin lingerie that I just had to buy it. The eyeshadow I bought is sparkly white color and can act as a base and eyeliner. Will get the other five when I have the money.

Three limited edition items came out also (As corrected by Plue). I only want to buy this: Majolumina Powder in Puff Golden Sparkle(Just look at the hot pink and black casing. And the puff, oh the puff! *swoons*)

The other two items are: Lash Gorgeous Wing (Brown) - Majolumina Powder in Puff Silver Glitter

Don't wanna get the mascara because it's brown. I only use black. So I might get this one instead:

But after reading Miracle's review. I doubt I will buy it. Somehow the idea of things getting stuck in my eyeball is just not that appealing and what if you are rubbing your cheeks and it leaves a patch of black on you!! Can you imagine how embarrassing that will be?

On another note, I also received my Relian Mascara!! Excited cause I can finally do my review of both Relian & Flamingo Mascara!

END OF MY CAREFREE DAYS

Finally, uni starts for me tomorrow. I'm all ready to go since I have been preparing the week before. Yeah, that's how I'm excited to go. 3 months plus holiday can drive me crazy.

Today, Ken and I went to Parkson to celebrate an extremely belated Valentines Day. We went to watch "Underworld 3" and let me tell you what a waste of RM16 it was. First, we were late for the movie due to our own fault then we had to grope around in the dark for a seat and then the uncomfortable shuffling around began.

"Underworld 3" was basically about how the war was waged between the Vampires and Lycans but anyone who have watched "Underworld 1 + 2" all knew that it was because the Vampires enslaved the Lycans and one of the Lycan, Lucian, fell in love with the Princess of Vampires and was killed because she was pregnant with the Lycan's baby. *Yawn*

Enough about the movie. I bought "Schwarzkopf OSIS+ Dust It" for RM55 and my, how tiny it is - only 10g/50ml. It can fit the palm of my hand nicely. Tomorrow I will find out whether RM55 is justifiable for such a small product.

I was going to buy "Beautilicious Brushy Business" and "The Body Shop Cassis Rose EDT" but both shop ran out of stock. Why do they always do this to me? WHY?! I was pretty smug about myself because I left Bintang Plaza with only one beauty product. Good Lisa.

Can't wait for the salespeople to call me when the items arrive!

Strawberry Bath & Shower Gel

A refreshing cleansing gel that lathers up in the bath or shower to leave your skin feeling clean, fresh and subtly scented.

PACKAGING
For bathroom items, I prefer they come with a pump. It's bad enough that your wet, cold and in danger of getting products into your eyes and fumbling around to open a cap just doesn't make it better. Besides, I have a phobia of chipping and breaking my fingernails with unusually hard to open evil caps. Since it's not in a squeeze tube it also means that you have to leave it upside down or wait for ages for the content to come out when it is nearly the end. But the picture of scrumptious strawberries are really nice.

TEXTURE
It's a bit too runny for my liking. While the strawberry scent is there, it smells too artificially sweet. Strawberries aren't even sweet at all. They're sourish. If you don't like the sickeningly sweet smell on you, then avoid this product. The smell tends to linger a bit after you step out of the shower.

LOVING IT OR LEAVING IT?
I don't feel fresh after using Strawberry Bath & Shower Gel. It doesn't feel like I'm lying in a strawberry field more like I am an ice-cream drizzled in those artificial strawberry sauce. Maybe it's because of the humidity and heat. It feels really cloying so will not repurchase since I prefer something that smells fresh. Hate the artificial smell too.

Strawberry Body Polish

Have good, clean fun and smooth skin at the same time thanks to this fragrance foaming gel-based scrub that's gentle enough to use everyday. Dead skin cells are removed in no time, revealing brighter, healthy-looking skin thanks to natural exfoliators. Containing Community Trade organic honey.

PACKAGING
Again, the cap type but in a squeeze tube. Strawberries picture not as nice. Make sure you tip a bit sideways when pouring the contents out. The cap is really fragile. My one nearly snap in half.

TEXTURE
And again, too runny. I like my scrub "compact". Those tiny black bits you see are kiwi seeds. I would say this is not a harsh scrub. The smell is exactly as described for the Strawberry Bath & Shower Gel. It also has crushed walnut shells in it which are more grainy than the kiwi seeds. In fact, I would go as far as to say that Strawberry Body Polish is just Strawberry Shower & Bath Gel with added kiwi seeds and crushed walnut shells.

LOVING IT OR LEAVING IT?
Definitely leaving it. The homemade scrub my mum makes is waaay better than this scrub. Besides, Plue from Beauty Up My Life has found a good dupe for this product from Watson, head over to her blog for more great reads. *thumbs up*

FINAL THOUGHTS...
After trying out these two products, I wouldn't want to try the products from the same line. While I heart eating strawberries, I certainly don't like smelling like one.

ZA Vitamin Lip SPF26 PA+++

Safeguards delicate lips from harmful UV rays. Moisturizes while correcting dullness and uneven coloration due to pigmentation.

PACKAGING
Common lip balm twisty type. Looks very "medicinal" because of the white color.

TEXTURE
Waxy like all lip balms. Color is light yellow. Non greasy when applied on lips.

LOVING IT OR LEAVING IT?
What I really love about this sunscreen is the added SPF and PA protection. It means that your lips along with the rest of your skin is getting sun protection - provided you did applied sunscreen on your face.

I was suffering from dry and chapped lips but after using this a few days, my lips improved a lot. What I don't like is the taste. I have no idea what it tastes like but it just tasted artificial. Just make sure you don't lick your lips while using this. It can also work as your lip base before you put on lipstick or lip gloss.

FINAL THOUGHTS...
Cheap multi-purpose lip balm. One of the rare lip balms that provide sun protection while working as a lip base. Conditions lips really well. But may not be adequate for extremely dry and chapped lips.

ZA Essential Liquid Wash

Works to remove impurities and dead horny cells effectively while keeping moisture locked in with its rich, fine-grained lather of minerals. An exquisite, silky-smooth finish is yours as the skin is covered with a veil of moisture after the cleanser has been rinsed away. A must-buy for those who are bothered by dryness.

PACKAGING
I bought this product because of the packaging and it was on sale! I know it's nothing fancy or cute but the simplicity and bottle-ish packaging called out to me. The all white and blue font looked really good in my bathroom. But it would had been better if this product came with a pump because it was hard to control the content that came out.

TEXTURE
When you're using this product make sure that you only tip the bottle a little because it is liquid though a bit more viscous than water. It comes out clear and you only need a little bit of this product goes a long way. It also lathers really nicely and when you put the lather to your face it feels really soft. It's not kidding about the "fine grained" part.

LOVING IT OR LEAVING IT?
Actually ZA cleansers are all pretty good. I was suffering from dry skin when I came back from my holiday. This and the ZA Dewy Effect Creamy Gel improved my skin a lot. After washing your face, you can feel the smoothness with your hands. As for the "veil of moisture", I can honestly feel it. Felt like a shield was protecting my skin from other stuff. It also claimed to clean pores, but there were still lots of blackheads and whiteheads. SA also told me that this cleanser is adequate enough if you're wearing ligth make up.

FINAL THOUGHTS...
Excellent for dry skin. Makes other products such as toner + moisturizer + serum absorb better. Buy it if silky smooth skin is your wish. ^^ Should delete the word "horny" from its description. Haha.

ZA Facial Cleansing Foam

Vitamin Rolling Granules help to completely remove pore-clogging sebum and waste matter. They also provide just the right degree of massage to enhance your skin’s natural ability to renew itself. Rinse away when the granular sensation disappears. Can completely remove light makeup.

In my foggy memory, I remembered that I got this for only SGD3. It was my HG cleanser till it finished and I tottered off to try new cleansers. Packaging is the common squeeze tube with flick on/off cap. I think the real reason why I like ZA products so much is because of the font they used on their products. Weird huh?

TEXTURE
The content is like a white cream with little blue beads. The beads are not harsh at all. Some will dissolve when you massage into the skin. It is gentle enough for everyday use provide that you don't go crazy and scrub your face raw. My skin does not feel dry after cleansing and it leaves my skin smooth and bright.

LOVING IT OR LEAVING IT?
It was one of my HG cleanser because I can see my skin getting brighter everyday. It does not only whiten your skin but it leaves it with a nice glow. I don't know why it can whiten the skin as this is not a cleanser that claims to whitens but it just does. I think it's the Vitamin E working its magical power to make my face glow.

FINAL THOUGHTS...
Give it a try, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do.

ZA Dewy Effect

Dewy Effect Lotion

Replenishes your skin with plenty of moisture for silky, soft, touchable skin.

This was included in the travel pack along with the Emulsion and Eye Gel. The travel pack can last a fairly reasonable amount of time.

I don't really find this product amazing. It is just absolutely average. You won't be missing something great if you didn't buy this lotion. It acts as a toner so you use it after your cleanser. According to the directions you just have to smooth an appropriate amount over the face with a patting motion.

If you have extremely dry skin then I would suggest that you don't use this. I have other toners that work better than this one.

Dewy Effect Emulsion

Melts into your skin with a dewy sensation to lock in plenty of moisture for hours on end.

This emulsion is the less heavy version of the creamy gel. I used this as my day moisturizer because I don't wanna blot every few minutes. It is light enough for summer use but not adequate when used in winter because your skin would hate you for it.

Nothing to rave about either. Just an average day moisturizer for me and since it does not have SPF it means that I have to layer on sunscreen.

Dewy Effect Creamy Gel

Melts into your skin with a dewy sensation to lock in plenty of moisture for hours on end.

I finally finished this moisturizer! YES! *punches fist in the air* It's quite amazing since I'm the sort of girl that can never finish the product she is using cause too many products calling out my name to go and try them.

Anyways, this is the only product out of this line that was full sized. Lasted me about two and a half months. For other girls, it might last more because I always more than the amount required for two reasons. One being that I want to finish it faster the other is because I have this mentality that more is good.

The texture is stuck between creamy and gel-ish, hence the name. Not too heavy nor too light. It sinks in pretty fast but enough time to smooth it into the areas you want. No oily feeling either. This is perfectly suitable for those of us who sleeps in air con room. Honestly, after a few days of using this, I can't stop touching my skin cause it is suuuuuuuper soft and smooth. Like a plump baby's bottom.

The packaging is in a nice heavy glass jar with a screw type cap. I use a spatula to dig the contents out for fear of contaminating it with my fingers. But make sure the spatula is clean too. Personally I think this is the star product out of this line.

Dewy Effect Creamy Eye Gel

Blends in gently with the skin around your eyes,keeping your skin smooth and soft for hours on end.

What I like about this product is the packaging. I like slim squeeze tube. But this item does nothing else but moisturize your eye areas only. So if you're looking for an eye product that reduce wrinkles/puffiness/dark circles then this is not the product you're looking for.

I like to keep my eye gel in the fridge so when you put it on, it'll have an icy sensation and it can really brighten up tired eyes, especially if you have been crying. According to the SA, it won't give you any milia seeds. I haven't tried it long enough to vouch for it.

FINAL THOUGHTS...
All in all, an "okay" line. My skin did become plump and dewy but I would credit that to the creamy gel only because when I was putting on the lotion + emulsion it felt like my skin was dying of thirst. Give the rest a miss but you can try out the creamy gel.
